Classical Training

I offer tuition and coaching and am able to travel locally within the south Dorset area. I also offer workshops and rider clinics for individuals or small groups from my base near Weymouth in Dorset. We also welcome students for mini breaks – time to chill out and enjoy our wonderful Jurassic Coast along with your training.

HOW I WORK

My aim within teaching has always been to improve the relationship between you and your horse by helping you discover your deeper awareness of emotional heart energy, which you can control through your core breathing patterns.

This may be in general handling with your horse, gaining respect with your power of intention and breathing, or using your deeper breathing to control collection and balance within more advanced movements in dressage.

What we’ll cover together

Your optimum equilibrium and balance as a rider.

Your breathing and emotional patterns and changes in your energy field
Awakening your emotional intelligence.

Feeling the potential for communication with your field of energy.

Understanding where you hold on to tension, (a result of repeated patterns of which you are often unaware).

Learning a new way of connecting within your riding where less becomes much more.

Discover your deeper emotional connection to feel oneness with your horse.

We will demonstrate the huge value and integrity of educated ground work

 Liberty
To show a deeper connection and how far we can progress Classical Training with minimal invasive tack and aids.

Lungeing
With no side reins – showing the connection between our energy field and breathing.

Exercises over poles
To help the horse gain coordination, suppleness, balance and collection - with minimal tack.
This training has such great value for all horses whether being prepared for riding, maybe rehabilitation after accidents, illness and horses at every level within Dressage – novice to advanced.

Work in hand
Demonstrating lateral exercises in steady walk to improve balance and flexibility within movement and collection.

Whether you are experiencing behaviour problems with your horse, or you would like to progress your classical training along a deeper level of understanding, you can contact me for an initial chat to see how I can best help. I can also offer highly experienced coaching from watching your home videos.

Come and Stay

We are pleased to be able to offer breaks and mini breaks in our luxury caravan, set in the grounds of our home and near the stables, overlooking the Jurassic Coast.

We are close to the sea with stunning walks along the coastal path and panoramic views of the beautiful Dorset countryside. You’ll be comfy in our 4-berth caravan and you are welcome to bring a friend with you if you like (we have a policy of no more than 2 people in the caravan at any one time). The minimum stay is 2 nights.

How you spend your time with us is up to you. You can choose between training with my Spanish horses or relaxing and enjoying this wonderful natural environment that we are lucky to call home. You can also treat yourself to a meal at one of the superb local restaurants.

Students will work with me, demonstrating my horses, along with my assistant Cassie Hall. Training may be in general handling with the horse, gaining respect with your power of intention and breathing, or using your deeper breathing to control collection and balance within more advanced movements in dressage.

Contact me to discuss costs as every stay is unique and tailormade to suit your needs.
